Volunteering is a great way to show your love and support of our animals. To get started, please complete our volunteer application. After receiving your application, we will contact you about attending a volunteer orientation. Volunteer opportunities include:
Cat Companion
Socializing with the cats in our care is important for their health, wellness, and adoptability. Volunteers play, pet and groom our cats, and helping them get comfortable with human interactions.
Shelter Helper
Help us meet the needs of daily operations by assisting with laundry, dishes, creating enrichment treats, and sorting donations.
Kennel Attendant
Assist with the morning cleanings within the cattery or dog runs. Shifts are available every day from 8:30 to 11:30 AM.
Event Assistant
Our fundraising events help us save more homeless pets. Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up and taking down our event sites and distributing flyers and information about our events. Volunteers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Public Relations Assistant
Help promote Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter by taking pictures and creating highlight videos or content for our social media channels. Volunteers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
