Creating your own fundraiser couldn’t be easier! Here are some fun ways you can help our animals by raising funds and collecting needed supplies.

Facebook Fundraisers:  It’s easy to support the mission of Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter with Facebook and we receive 100% of every donation. It is a great way to celebrate your birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion while supporting your favorite shelter! Just visit the fundraising section on our Facebook Page here and click on “Raise Money” to get started.

Here are some tips to make your fundraiser a success:

• Before you share your Facebook fundraiser, share it with close family and friends. Acquaintances are more likely to give when they see that you have received a donation already
• Use the following hashtags: #mtpleasantanimalshelter #adoptdontshop #shelterdogs #adoptme #sheltercats #catlovers #doglovers
• Write your first post or make your first donation
• Thank your donors by tagging them in a thank you note
• Share your fundraiser on your page a few days before it ends along with a heartfelt note

When a donation is made through Facebook, the donor receives an email confirmation to the primary email listed on their account from Facebook. The receipt includes information about the charitable gift made.
