Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter provides everything you need—food, toys, medical treatment, and supplies. All you have to do is open your heart and home. You simply add the love!

We are looking for compassionate fosters to help care for:

• Unweaned puppies and kittens – These tiny babies need bottle feeding, warmth, and round-the-clock care to grow strong and healthy.
• Puppies or kittens too young for adoption or requiring medical care – Some little ones need extra time before they’re ready to find their forever homes. Others may need medication or recovery time to heal from illness or injury.
• Dogs or cats who are stressed in a shelter environment or recovering from medical procedures – Shelter life can be overwhelming for some pets. A foster home provides them with the peace and comfort they need to relax, gain confidence, and truly shine.

Fostering is a short-term commitment with a lifelong impact—for the pet and for you. Many fosters find it to be an incredibly fulfilling experience, knowing they played a direct role in saving a life.
