Mark Coviello, Jr., Transport Coordinator
Henry Ristuccia is the Chair of the Board and is a member of the Finance Committee. Henry has been on the MPAS board for approximately 20 years. Henry retired from Deloitte LLP (the world’s largest professional services firm) as a Senior Partner after 33 years. Henry is currently an investor and advisor at York IE, an early-stage investment and capital management firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Directorship Certification by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). Henry holds a BS in accounting and business administration from St. John’s University.
Emelie Smith Calbick is Vice President of the Board, Chair of the Development Committee, and a board member for five years. After holding a variety of senior level marketing and strategy positions at American Express, Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase, Emelie became Chief Marketing Officer at the fast-growing startup, Placecodes, Inc., which was subsequently sold to Destini Global. Emelie is currently the co-founder of Stage2Startups, an organization that supports and trains professionals who are thinking about, or who have already left, their career path working for others to successfully found and grow their own business or nonprofit. Emelie holds a joint MBA/MIA from Columbia University.
Eric Segal is Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee and a board member for five years. He is a partner at CFO Consulting Partners where he heads the firm’s Financial Services and Insurance practice. His work with CFO Consulting Partners has included serving as the Interim chief financial officers for community banks and FinTech companies, providing M&A advice, and project management services. Eric has more than 25 years of experience in senior financial management positions with companies ranging from Fortune 500 companies to community banks. He was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Spencer Savings Bank, a $3 billion community bank in New Jersey, and is a 17-year veteran of American Express and Ameriprise Financial. Eric holds a BA degree from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA in Finance from Pace University.
Janet Saulter-Hemmer has been a member of the board since 2020. After an early retirement from Prudential working as an IT Director, she worked as the Director of Clean Water Cause at Liquid Church for five years and is now the Human Resources and Recruiting Director at Chick-fil-A. Janet has also been a volunteer cat foster for more than 20 years. She has participated in many of the MPAS large fundraising events.
Jeri Dana has been a member of the board at MPAS since 2020. Jeri began her career holding a variety of sales management positions with Fortune 500 companies before changing career paths in 2010. She currently holds a real estate license in the State of NJ and has more than 11 years of experience in the real estate field, including eight years in new construction. Jeri’s currently is a Team Lead: Workplace Operations at Compass Real Estate, a publicly traded company with over 20,000 employees throughout the country. Jeri holds a BA in Communications from State University of New York at Oswego.
Mark Hanulak has been a member of the MPAS Board since 2022 and is also a member of the Finance Committee. Mark is a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he specializes in providing audit and advisory services to entities within the life sciences industry. He has broad industry experience with clients ranging from venture-backed startups through global Fortune 100 publicly traded companies. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant, and a graduate of Rutgers University.
Brian Lewand joined the Board in 2024 and is a member of the Development Committee. Brian has held a number of senior executive positions across the Banking, Insurance and Asset Management industries. He holds a BS degree in Finance from Villanova University, an MBA degree from Rutgers University, and the CFA designation.
Kevin McDonald joined the board in October 2021. Kevin retired from Tetra Tech Inc, a premier global engineering and consulting organization with over 20,000 employees. He served Tetra Tech as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Leadership Development. During his 40 years as a human resource professional, Kevin was responsible for the broad spectrum of people leadership, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, succession planning, and staff development. Kevin is currently president of Candlewood Consultants, a human resource consulting firm.
Schuyler Rooke joined the MPAS team as an Advisory lead in the Summer of 2024. He brings a seasoned background working across various functions related to deals, strategy, asset management, and broad transaction services. Since joining as a volunteer, he quickly established himself as a consummate professional with a determination for identifying meaningful new partnerships, events, and strategic avenues essential to lifting the Shelter to new heights. As a business professional he has consummated a ‘laundry list’ of transactions, pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, arming him with strong evaluation skills as well as a vast network of like-minded professionals and individuals that share his passion for animal welfare.
Schuyler graduated from Bucknell University with a dual degree in Economics and English Literature and received an MBA from Rutgers Business School. Schuyler lives in Essex Fells with his wife Rian, daughter Josephine, and dog Beatrice.
